I was born in Bakersfield California and lived most of my life there. I am married to Tom Nelson for 18 years.  Together we have 5 children and 5 grandchildren. 

Raised on a ranch I had a strong interest in livestock and horses.  Growing up I was active in 4-H and FFA showing Steers, dairy heifers and pigs. I have competed all my life in horse events such as gymkanna, horse show, reined cowhorse, team penning, sorting, and reining.

In my spare time I am an artist.  I love to paint the western life style.  I graduated from Bakersfield College with a degree in Agriculture-Business.

I started my real estate career in 1978 as an agent and later got my California Brokers license in 1982.  I had my own brokerage when we had a property management, sales and loans.  I sold that business 1997 and went to another real estate agency to do straight sales. 

My husband retired in 2000. In 2001 I started Horse Taxi, LLC.  Tom and I transported horses thoughout the United States driving 125,000 to 150,000 miles per year.  

We settled in Granbury, Texas in 2005.  Wanting a life, beside on the road I decided to go back into real estate. As in California, I specialize in horses properties small and large. I have a strong understanding of what is needed for first time buyers and for the seasoned buyers and sellers.
